This week I entered a dark tunnel for a while writing our risk assessment, but as ever there is always light at the end of the tunnel and it is all done (Chris says its very good). These things always make me think of Tom and Jerry. Did they ever risk assess all the things they ever did?
'Thomas!.....you knaw you can't do dat to dat mouse, its says so in awre organizational risk assessment"
Still, they are extremely important and some important issue to a have been raised with the board. I hope I adequately reflected your thoughts.
My lecture at DMU was great fun and that relationship continues to build. We are discussing possibly doing a 'training' day in basic youth work skills for JAG members. Amongst other things, this week the YMCAE YJIA CYW went very well as Céline has said, had a great meeting with Maria on Prague, and got down and geeky with Hannah. Also wrote a few words for Anna, to get the KWYMCA project in our new policy paper of life skills and livelihoods. Still seem to be on a non-stop loop of emails with Ian, Kerry and Johanna, all of whom feel are little bit like my second family-in-law. But we are getting there, and a small victory on the rooms :-) This is basically my plan for next week, to sentence myself to a week of hard Prague labour, interspersed with short day release for a meeting with fundraising, a conference call with Belfast about last years Sierra Leone project, youth participation meeting, a meting with Kate and Darren on India and gyw and some supervision with HLJ.
