Be Inspired! Scotland needs YOU

I emerged from the trenches fellow comrades, to bravely cross the lines, for a solitary day, venturing north to Glasgow to meet with the new Commanding Officer of Glasgow YMCA, which has more troops and equipment than the whole of the army of YMCA Scotland put together.

They are applying for a new large funding stream called 'Inspire Scotland' to pay for an exciting new holistic youth work programme

Click here to read a Scotsman newspaper article all about the scheme

We had a long talk away from the front over cigars and brandy and by the end they agreed to make us partners in their bid, in which we will deliver a 'global' element to this programme. They are already through the second stage and have a 50% chance of securing the money, though have been told theres is the only bid with a global element, so we are quietly confident.

Details will be discussed once the tender is secured in October (keep your bayonets crossed soldiers) so it could involve a large injection of resources and possibly a new soldier to be based on the Scottish front.

Please people, loose lips cost lives, so at present this is FYEO, as I am sure you are aware of the political sensitivities around action north of the border.
