Not getting shirty in my thirties

Ay-up you people. I've been a bit shirty in the last week or so, and think it might be the pressure of the looming birthday...so apologies if you've encountered moaning and the like. Here's to not getting shirty in my thirties!!

Anyway, so what have I been up to?
  • Changed my name
  • I'm writing a draft of the Youth Workers Network Annual Report for DfID, which is quite fun actually. Good to see all the stuff we've achieved in a year.
  • I'm planning for the Training Day Stuart and I are running in Scotland next week. It's an Advanced Global Youth Work course so it should be quite interesting. We're also trying to focus on the Scottish context a bit this time.
  • Planning for the Prague Fun Bus adventure
  • I've been supporting my 5 seed funding projects and arranging visits for them.
  • I've been setting up the peer review bit of the seed funding programme, with a little bit of resistance and some cajoling needed. But, I reckon they will all be up for it in the end!
  • Bringing together plans for Youth Justice Summer and organising a mailout, and stuff for the forum
  • Working with Stuart, Matt and Darren to start Global Youth Work in India. Vey exciting. And also looking at how some of the seed funding projects can link with YMCAs overseas
  • Sourcing information for a new e-newsletter for the Network
  • Sorting out and improving the online forum
  • Chatting with YMCA Scotland about how we can work together in the future
  • Working out how Michele/ Tj and me can support seed funding projects in Ireland

Love from Hannah xxx
