ICEBREAKERS

ICEBREAKERS!

Courtney from New Orleans is in charge of the YUSA Global Village/EXPO participation at Prague!

One of the activities she will be offering is daily icebreakers at a couple of set times so participants can meet new people.

She writes, "I know you have a lot of icebreakers up your sleeve. Would you mind sharing some with me? I have a few ideas but none as brilliant as yours, I’m sure."

So bloggers, the GYW challenge for today/this week is to each come up with two favourite icebreakers for Courtney....

Right, so 1,2,3 classic, but this time they have to use 1,2,3 from different languages, its like an advanced 1,2,3, and is very hard, but fun

Second, 'shields and bombs' People have to pick a shield and a bomb, and then when you say go, they have to move around, ensuring that their shield is always in the way of them and their bomb. As no-one knows whose is whose, you ususally end up with a big scrum!

I would also suggest the 'monster' warm up, but that went down like a lead balloon at the newcastle team meeting ;-)

Ask someone if they can see your underwear through your clothing - that usually breaks the ice.

I like the one where you get people to say their name and somthing they like that begins with the same letter and then people have to remember everyone's names and likes as they go round the circle - shouldn't have more than ten people though or it can get boring.

I like 'band master' too when someone has to go out of the room and when they come back in they have to guess who is the leader of the actions that everyone is following.
