Partnerships

Hi everyone,

When i finally get my head around the fact this is Tuesday and not Monday, and i actually had a weekend that didn't involve work I'll be back at it with another busy

Today I am meeting Mike this am to finalise the seed funding projects (which are ace and massive thanks to the panel and mike for all their hard work on it). From 11 I am then spending the rest of the day with Isobel Turner doing work on the CRIG evaluations with her.

Wednesday I am going (I promise Gemma) finish the Kingston and Wimbledon Resource and actually have an hour or two in the office that doesn't involve meetings to catch up on things.

Thursday I am off to Swansea to meet with Mo to discuss the new global youth work in Wales project and on Friday is the first working group meeting to start to do the Child and Young peoples protection policy.

Last week was a manic, but productive one, so apologies as I wasn't on email all week, but the International Alert bid is going to be very exciting. It was great to work closely with GlobalEducationDerby once more and even though its going to take up a load of my time in the next three weeks, We'll end up with a really strong application, which if we then get, will be really exciting piece of cutting edge work.

Friday was a good day of SMTing and then brainstoming the future of the campaigns/advocacy role.

The lecture at DeMontofrd went really well and I am exploring what options there are for that module to be delivered in some form to our youth workers and the less said about the Dfid consultation the better (!!!) still, it was good to join forces with Doug Bourne and push our points in a two-pronged attack!!

Anyway, all this work last week and this week got me pondering on how much over the last year we have developed really good partnerships in the sector - DeMontford, DEA, GED, IAlertetc....It really adds to and strengthens our work...I will take this forward into my meetings with MO and YMCA Wales on Thursday ;-)
