I'm from Europe... where the history comes from

Hello folks,

Sorry for not blogging for ages! First thing's first.... a shiny 10p or chocolate bar of equivalent value (chomp, Taz, Freddo, that sorta thing) for anyone who gets the reference in the title. Let's just say I was watching some standup last night.

Anyway, this week I have been mostly in fully-fledged planning mode and, fingers crossed, we have two wicked proposals for the future of the YWN. Many, many, many thanks for everyone's help in putting these proposals - just hope you're as excited as I am about them!?!?

Having spoken to Mickella about them yesterday there's a bit more work to be done but we will finish this in the next few weeks and then the giant golden (funding) egg hunt begins! So... next week will involve some work transposing the proposals into the formats that fundraising use to approach trusts and collating some evidence of the work that we've done over the past few years.

Next, it's planning for training days that may or may not happen as it stands today. Either way, Stuart and I have put together a new training package to test out in Edinburgh, which I'm sure will also affect what we do in Sunderland.

As for now - well, the weather looks wicked and hopefully it'll stay like this for the whole weekend! If anyone fancies sitting around a cricket ground with a few ciders gimme a shout!

N.B. If the Sunderland day does get 8 people then I will be in Newcastle along with Stuart and Sue for the team skype on Monday 8th. If not, I will be in London at the beginning of the week and then likely away from Wednesday onwards in Scotland chasing Seed Funding projects, checking out conference facilities, and perhaps helping YMCA Scotland with a residential.
