Or... 2009 - A Scottish Odyssey!
Hello once again
Just to update you on my whereabouts over the coming weeks...
I'm leaving London this weekend and heading back to wintry Wales for Christmas with the family, including for the first time, my little niece Cerys who was born in August. It's sure to be a great Christmas with a new child in the house!
In the New Year I'm pretty busy with things from the get-go, with planning for Darlington and Scotland rounding out the first week back, while trying to contact the Seed Funding Projects from 2008 about their progress.
The Scottish Odyssey begins on 12 Jan with a flight to Edinburgh and a meeting with Jeanette Third, Peter Crory and the as til now ubiquitously named "Crawford". Next it's off to Glasgow on the 13th and the always-entertaining crowd at Bellshill and Mossend for a meeting of Seed Funding Projects from there, Perth and Gatehouse of Fleet YMCAs. I'm really looking forward to meeting them and seeing where they've gotten to!
But perhaps the most exciting part of the trip on a personal level is the Top Gear-esque mammoth road trip through Scotland that will take place on the 14th as I make the journey (and, for those of you into the meanings of words, or French, my journee will indeed take most of the day), to the Isle of Skye, passing through this fine area as I go...
I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy the drive!
But if anyone knows of a good place to stop en route, gimme a shout... please!?
In the meantime, I think people with Celtic origins owe it to themselves to explore the symbolism explored by http://www.your-kilt.com/.
