I spend a lot of last week at the cricket with my brother becoming an honorary 'Bears' fan (thats Warwickshire Cricket club for those of you not big cricket fans). Now then, all I can hope is is that the two funding proposals I wrote over the last two weeks will do better than the Bears did when I saw them last week!!
This week I am at an SMT meeting this afternoon. Tomorrow and have my AWR in the afternoon. The rest of the day and on Wednesday I am catching up on office work, including writing a board report for Chris, writing narrative for the annual accounts, disseminating the K and W report, catching up on 2 weeks of finance stuff, writing some papers for Isabel, developing the YJIA proposal for the Austrian government, setting up appointments with Cardiff and West London YMCA and generally sitting at my new clean desk.
You will also see from Gemma's email update (if not click here) that we have secured 50,00 from West London YMCA towards the Togo project, which is great and the result of a good while of bothering and charming! As an offshoot, part of that money is going to be sued to develop a gyw project on the themes from Togo with the YMCA, so I am chatting to Harriet about that and beginning to work on a proposal. So any bright ideas would be welcomed as a comment!
I am then off to Berlin on Thursday and Friday for a belated 30th Birthday present from my dad - a 'lads' weekend full of debauchery with my dad....hmmmmmmm
