Marching Onwards

Bonjour!

Can you believe it's almost the third month of the year already? Madness.

This first bit is purely for Celine as the only other rugby-interested party... With the dispatching of the Scottish and English out of the way, next week sees us Welsh march onwards to Paris and to... well... March... for what could be a very important game as the 6 nations progresses. Still think it's coming down to Ireland in Cardiff though...

March is shaping up quite nicely so far with St David's Day on the 1st, followed by training in days for ESDGC in Newport and for the YWN in Cardiff on the 4-5th. This could be an exciting step for Y Care as we try and sell GYW training to a youth service for the first time! It's back to Hornsey on the 6th for an evening of global youth work before a well earned rest... or perhaps the continued madness of Alexis' 90s birthday bash. Go shellsuits!

Next we have a trip to the Celtic bretheren in Ireland on the 9th as I hope to get to know Michele and TJ and their new starter a bit better and plan together what we want to do this year.

Week three of March begins with a trip up North with Nicky in tow as we hit North Shields for another Network and Seed Funding support day on the 17th. We're staying over the night before as the rail system doesn't allow us to get there in time on the Tuesday. So exploration of Newcastle will happen on the Monday night and rumour has it that Lindisfarne lost the fog on the tyne and that it's currently AWOL... I shall investigate...

But not for long, because on the 18-19th I'm off to DeMontford for a GYW Course, partially as a bit of on-the-job learning but also to scope out (To scope - verb. meaning to spy) exactly what people get when they pay for GYW training. On 20 March I'm lucky enough to still be under 25 (:P) and am therefore representin' da yoof at DfID's consultation - please pass on any big thoughts about yoof participation!

Rounding out the month on the weekend of the 27th is the YMCA England Annual Conference where I'm heading up a workshop on the YWN and other such goodness. Anyone else for Coventry that Saturday? It's nice... look!

Hope you all have a fun and exciting March lined up and see most of you for the team meeting next Tuesday!
