Say hello and wave goodbye

Hi peops,

A week interrupted by Man-flu - but all is OK. (click to find out more)

Been at YMCAE meeting with them and OSU to plan our joint conference in May and the YJIA solidarity day - its a good working relationship and ideas for May are very exciting!

I was also there the previous week to discuss the future of changing your world. This was a tough meeting, as I was honest about our staffing capacity and restrictions. Two outcomes came of it: 1) we are to put in a joint bid to secure funding which would include a job for a youth worker to support young people before and after the course in campaigns and to develop a global element to their work 2) we are going to try a 'training the trainers' course, linked to the YWN aimed at training youth workers to support young people themselves to do campaigns.

Also was a presenter at a fab conference on gyw at De Montford UNI.

This week I met with International Alert and have secured our partnership in a funding bid, which if successful will bring us in 'loadsa monaaay' (as Harry Enfield said in the 80s)

I am in the office today saying a fond farewell to HLJ. I won;t write anymore about that here, except to say goodbye...and I will say all in my leaving speech. I may then take some strategic TOIL tomorrow morning, but I am in the office the rest of the week.

Next week I am toiling on Monday as my Grandma celebrates her 80th b'day...though we are planing on telling her its her 21st to cheer her up. Sadly she will believe us!

I am then in the office all week, except Wednesday, when I am at Wimbldeon Y all day for 3 meetings about our project there.

Goodbye.....
